Hello to all club membersThis is the start to a club news letter to try and keep all club members up to date on all the goings on with the club. Things have been very busy so far this year and we are still working to keep things with in the club going strong.
we held our monthly club meeting june 10, 2005 at the mastin center in Fairchild. it was decided to start holding our meeting at the leased property on arndt rd during the summer to allow us to use the property more . We have a shelter there now and with some good luck we will have a Club house going up there this summer as well. Remember ther meetings are held the second friday of every month atr 7:00 pm . it was decided to move the election of officers to to july instead of june we are amendeing our bylaws to allow for this move. it was dedcided that the june meeting was to close to our memorial day eventtobe able to get everything finalized with the event before the electoin.Up for electoin the year are the president treasurer and two board members positions . If interested in any of these positions come to the july meeting and put your name up for appointment to the position. The weather wa s fantastic for our ATV pull and also for the poker run we were not able to hold the mud bog due to insurance problems. We are currently looking into new insurance that will allow us to hold this event. If anyone has any information on insurance for this type of event conact the club and let us know you can contact jill sabin at 715-334 2607with any inforamation that you have. The club has decided to hold a club ride on July 2 with a party/picnic to be hald afterwards at the leased property. We will meet at the leased property at 9:00am and leave no later then 10:00 am it was metioned that we should ride through town and visit the Briarwood camp ground by the ball park and then take the trail going to hixton. This is up to all who ride if they want to go this way or what. The trail going to Hixton is new this year with a mixture of trails and routes.there are plenty of 10 mph areas along this trail so every one will have to pay attention to the signs. The trail part of this segment goes through private property and we will have to make sure we behave on this as it is on a trial basis for now. If things go well it will stay if not it will probably be gone. This trail to along time to get open and a lot of work went in to getting this open so lets make sure everyone has a good time but behaves. It is really a scenic ride so we hope to have as many club members as possible to enjoy it. After the ride we will all meet at the leased property by 5:00 oclock. The club will put on food and and refreshments for all members present as our way of thankyou for belonging to the club and for helping us get where we are today. The fairchild Lions Club Fun Days is the weekend of Aug 5th . The club has been invited toto partake in the parade on sunday Aug7th . We have been in this Parade since our club started and hope to get more members to ride in the parade each year. The parade starts at 1:00pm so if you wish to ride in the parade please be there a little earlier to get in place with the rest of the club. The club has applied for another grant from the state for funds to put in a vault toilet and also drill a well to get water at the leased property. Hopefully we will get this grant and we can possibly have this done this year. We are finishing the paper work on the last grant and it will be going to the DNR in week to finish the last grant.Keep your fingers crossed that we can get the money needed to keep this project going. We intend to string out water and elctricity to 10 campsites on the leased property we will also have other sites that will be able to get electricity but not water to them. Labor day weekend the club will host another ATV pull at the property. This time the pull will be on sunday Sept 4th at 1:00 pm There will be raffles, door prizes and other progarms going on to keep everyone happy try to make it there and check out the machines they use in the pull. The club continues to grow and we are trying to develop a quarterly news letter instead of sending meeting minutes out to every one each month we will still place the minutes on the website each monthas you can imagine the postage is enormous trying to mail out minutes each month. So we will try to save money going quarterly instead of monthly. if anything important comes up we will notify all members insantly to keep all of you informed on everything going on in the club .Hope fully this letter finds you all in good health and enjoying the summer remember the club ride is july 2 and try to make it there if you cannot make the ride but can make it to the party/picnic that will be fine also [ note there will be abonfire that night in side thethe fire fort made for thisso comemout and check this out. Thank you for all you contiued support for the club; Dean Sabin Quad County Atv Club President
